I told you fitness was definitely one of my goals for the new year so I thought I would do a fun post showing you exactly what my gym routine will be! I even show you what’s in my gym bag. My plan is to work out three days a week. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Monday will be weights focusing on shoulders and legs, Wednesday will be cardio where I will take a bootcamp class at the gym and then Friday I will hit the weights again for back chest and legs.
It’s been a while since I have had a consistent gym routine, with a full time job, twin girls and a blog, its a struggle to find time. But for the past few months I have been getting back into the routine by taking fun class at the gym. No weights just classes, I’ve taken everything from Pilates, to nightclub cardio and I’ve found that a hard bootcamp class is what I like most. So I have gotten into the routine of going and I’m seeing some results, now I want to add some weight lifting into the mix for some toning.
Going to the gym right after work works best for me, waking up early is just a no go, and to make something stick you have to do what you know will work. I also like that I can pick up the girls from school and they know they are heading to the gym to play. They also know that mummy is exercising and so hopefully I am teaching them from a young age that making time to exercise should be a part of their lives as well.
