Supplies for this DIY Fall Wreath Project:
Straw wreath
Burlap ribbon
Spray Adhesive
Fall Flowers and sprays
Letter (i got my chevron letter from Kirklands)
I used Super 77 as my adhesive. I simply sprayed the straw wreath a few inches at a time and wrapped the burlap ribbon around. I actually didn’t have enough ribbon to cover the entire wreath but that worked out perfectly because i stuck the flowers over the uncovered areas.
Sprays I just bent them and pulled to get each strand off the bunch and then I stuck into the straw wreath (through the burlap)
I simply pulled the flowers on the stems and pushed through the straw and burlap
Now this is the most important step of all….i repeat do not skip this step……Distract the kiddos. I made the wreath outdoors so i could let the twincesses loose in the backyard. They were distracted away from what the usually love to play with scissors, flowers etc lol.
Ok now on to the wreath 🙂
I pushed the flowers in so I could cover the straw.
Inserting the sprays through the burlap was easy.
Be sure to place the flowers on the top, inside and outside of the wreath for a 3D look
Just use more burlap ribbon to tie the letter to the wreath and there you have it!
The Perfect addition to our fall porch.
OMG Keitha! I love crafting too… but haven't found the time to do it (or made the time). I am going to start though! You have inspired me! 🙂
