I am so excited to share this shrimp and sausage alfredo recipe with you today! You know those days when you come home after a long day at work and cooking is the last thing you want to do, but you have two twincesses with sad hungry eyes and you realize it’s not optional. Yea, that is me EVERY SINGLE DAY! lol

This is a recipe for those days, seriously in 20-30 mins you have an amazing meal on the table. Now there is a huge shortcut here, I use ready made alfredo sauce (prego), but hey if you got the time go ahead and make it from scratch. I used to make chicken and sausage alfredo sauce and it was good but shout out to my friend Kenisha who literally revolutionized this recipe for me by suggesting I add two things: shrimp and rotel. yip. rotel as in tomatoes and green chiles. It adds so much flavor to this dish. Now I will say this it also adds a lot of heat. I would suggest starting with mild rotel and building up to original don’t even reach for the hot, original is plenty spicy.
Now on with the Shrimp and Sausage Alfredo recipe:
I start by slicing and cooking my sausage on my trusty George foreman grill. Something about brown grill lines on sausage that is oh so right.
While those are cooking, chop up some onion and bell pepper
This is what you will need!
And yes that is bacon flavored alfredo sauce. You’re welcome.
Season your shrimp. I used seasoning salt, black pepper, onion powder and garlic powder
Sauté the garlic, onion and bell pepper in olive oil
Add the shrimp
Then the cooked sausage
Add rotel and alfredo sauce and you’re done!
Seriously how can you not make this!
Serve over penne pasta and enjoy!

I would love to hear from you, tell me if you like this recipe!
