Glass and Stainless Steel Cleaner (Spring Cleaning Series Part 5)

I love having stainless steel appliances in our kitchen, the only downfall is fingerprints and watermarks! I swear stainless steel shows every fingerprint or speck of dust like nobody’s business! But I guess when they are all shining and beautiful it is all well worth it! right?

There are many commercial stainless steel cleaners on the market but I found that this simple solution works just as well. And as a bonus it works great on glass as well!

1 part vinegar
1 part water

I know sounds too simple to work but I promise you it really does. Sometimes I jazz it up a bit with a drop of lavender or lemon essential oil but it works great as is.

Now if you want the most amazing shine on your stainless steel. After cleaning wipe with baby oil. I’m not joking, seriously mineral oil/baby oil on a cloth or paper towel and you will be amazed at the shine!

I also suggest you use micro fiber cloths to clean your stainless appliances. They really buff it to a shiny finish. For glass I usually use paper towels, but newspaper works the best in my opinion. I know it sounds weird but something about newspaper gives mirrors and glass an amazing streak free shine.

Let me know if you gave this a try!
