If there is one website I could go be on all day it is Pinterest. It is seriously THE best thing on the internet. No matter what you are into its a place you can go and find inspiration! The only thing about pinterest though is that you can do a lot of pinning and then never actual complete a single pin! Why be so inspired yet never take on the projects. A goal of mine this year is to try out more of the things I see on pinterest whether it be a recipe, organizational tip or a house project. I’m thinking a pinterest party would be a great way to get my girlfriends over for some wine while we work on a quick project. Doesn’t that sounds fun! Hopefully soon. But in the mean time how about a virtual pinterest party!
I decided to start a pinterest round up each week, where I will be posting my favorite pins for the week. I will hopefully also try out those pinterest favorites and let you know if they are pinterest hits or pininterst fails!
I hope it will get you inspired to get out there and do it!
I have been wanting to compile my recipes for a while. Most are in my head, some are on printed or handwritten pieces of paper in a drawer in my kitchen. This lack of organization was causing me to cook the same things over and over and whats worse, get home and just not know what to cook. I was in great need of a system.
Then I saw 2 epic pins! One for a recipe binder and another pic for a meal planning printable. Lets start with the binder.
A Recipe Binder (with free printables). This first pin comes from Melanie Gets Married.
I have been wanting to organize my recipes for a long time. I have lots of pieces of paper with recipes stuffed in a drawer and I pull them out and they have food stains or get lost or whatever. I also have a lot of recipes in my brain that I would like to write down so that same day I can pass them down to my daughters. A recipe binder is perfect for this! seriously how awesome would it be to have this level of organization. This would make menu planning for the week super easy!
Speaking of menu planning…on to my next pin from Mom It Forward.
Isn’t this the perfect planner! I like how it has the plan for the week and the shopping list on the same page so I can just take this to the store with me. The only thing I would do differently on this printable is to add a canned food section probably in with the frozen food because I really don’t buy many frozen foods except for veggies and fruit. I saw some monthly planners out there but seriously I don’t think I can plan that far ahead what I want to eat.
Aren’t those some awesome pins?! Check back tomorrow to see me use these pins to get my own binder and meal planning system in action.
You know that I am 100% with you on this. I could spend an entire day on Pinterest. I don't know what life would be without it. I have incorporated SO many ideas from my pins into my daily living.
I know right! Pinterest definitely inspired me to even start this blog in the first place. Its just amazing that you have an outlet where you can inspire and be inspired. Can't get enough!
